Worcester Heritage Society (9:21) -- This is damage caused by the Great Worcester Mass. Tornado of June 9th 1953. This EF-4 Tornado was 1000 yards wide, traveled 46-miles, killed about 94 people, injured 1,288 and caused around 52-million dollars in damage. Around 4000 buildings were either damaged or destroyed and several hundred automobiles were tossed about like toys. "Lord Have Mercy"
