The Route 12 Cafe is planning to open on the site of the former Jan's Kitchen, 580 West Boylston St.
The cafe's request for an alcohol license is on the agenda for the next License Commission meeting, which is 10 a.m. Thursday. Rosa Navegantes is the cafe's owner, according to records on file with the Secretary of the Commonwealth's office. She is also listed as an owner of U.S. Motors, 720 West Boylston St., across from Quinn's Irish Pub.
The building sustained major damage in a May 2018 fire. The strip mall is also home to Min's Wok, a popular Chinese takeout spot.
